Simply Queen is fronted by Freddie Mercury impersonator extraordinaire Rick Rock. Guitarist Bob Wegner was hand-picked by Queen's Brian May and Roger Taylor to play guitar in several productions of the award-winning "We Will Rock You" musical. Drummer Phil Charrette and bassist Mitch Taylor are veterans of the southwestern Ontario and Detroit circuits.
The band performs all the iconic songs that made Queen one of the most legendary rock bands of all time, and faithfully recreates the grand scope of Queen's live shows, both musically and visually, with attention to detail capturing the live amazing live Queen experience that filled stadiums around the world. No backing tracks - it's all live, and "Guaranteed to Blow Your Mind!"

as Freddie Mercury
Vocalist, guitarist, pianist, songwriter, live performer and producer in the Windsor Ontario and Detroit Michigan circuits. He has supported countless acts including Edgar Winter, BTO, Burton Cummings, Mitch Rider, Kansas, The Turtles, Three Dog Night, and Kim Mitchell. Rick took his dynamic voice and stage impersonator extraordinaire to new heights by launching "The Freddie Mercury Rock Show" at the North American Queen convention, and performs in the "Legends Live" shows. The total Freddie package frontman for "Simply Queen," which he says is a match "Made in Heaven" and strives to be the most exciting experience of a LIVE tribute to Queen.
as Dr. Brian May
Bob Wegner has 15 years of experience in the studio and on stage. In 2006 he was selected by Queen's Brian May and Roger Taylor to play guitar in the Toronto production of the We Will Rock You musical. About 1,200 shows in various incarnations around the world have included numerous performances with May and Taylor. He has since done many tours with Classic Albums Live, and performed solo acoustic guitar shows both on dry land and on cruise ships, playing anything from Indian classical music to Bach to complete rock albums. In the studio he contributed to a project called Fabletongue, many of whose tracks were in collaboration with Grammy-winning producer David Bottrill (Tool, King Crimson, Dream Theater, Muse, Silverchair). Bob's debut album entitled "Changing Of The Guard" was released in 2017. He is also credited as "photo archivist" in the Max Webster box set "The Party."
as Roger Taylor
Phil Charrette has been playing music since he was 13, following the changing musical styles and tastes over the years. For three decades he has played drums in touring bands and solo acoustic shows, and highlights include being the opening act for Kansas, Quiet Riot, Herman's Hermits, the Monkees, Rik Emmett of Triumph, Foghat, War, Blues Traveller, and Honeymoon Suite. He has also played on stage with Odds and the Fabulous Thunderbirds. He currently plays drums with a 70's Motown group called The Bombsquad. In Simply Queen, Phil replicates Roger Taylor's sky high vocals from behind the kit in such songs as I'm In Love With My Car and Fight From the Inside.
as John Deacon
Mitch is a well-respected, veteran performer from the Windsor/Detroit area. Absorbing both the groove and soul of Motown and the aggressive edge of Motor City hard rock radio growing up, Mitch played piano, trombone, and drums before switching to bass guitar in his teens. Over the years, Mitch has been a member of: Teaze (former Aquarius/Capitol Recording Artists), Mindstorm (Aquarius Recording Artists), Tanzen (JLT Recording Artists), & The J.D. Project. He continues to perform with The United Snakes around the Windsor/Detroit region. He brings a wealth of experience, authenticity, and panache to the Simply Queen show with his rock-solid grooves, soaring high vocal harmony, and cool demeanour.
